Punching Holes in the Schedule

Software developers take a long time to get rolling on a project, and once going it takes a long time to complete a task. So when you set up a meeting, for 30 minutes before I really can’t start a task, and it takes about 30 minutes afterwards for me to get started again.

Calling a 9:45 am meeting from when I get in at around 9:15 and having it run to 30 minutes before my 11 am meeting means you’ve punched a hole in my entire damned morning.

Which makes it doubly-obnoxious when you punch a hole in my morning–then simply fail to show up.
